Eric Frey Vocal Coach

If you're reading this page it's because your interested in learning how to sing, or how to improve your voice and have been shopping around for an online solution. And now you want to know my qualifications. The same as I did when I first started taking singing lessons thirteen years ago.

Singing Performance

I began singing in rock bands when I was 15, (I'm currently 37)even though at the time to be honest, I could not sing very well at all. In fact my "friends" laughed at me.

But I figured it was like playing an instrument, you get better as you go.

As I found out later just singing isn't good enough to develop a great voice. By the time I was 17 I had developed a listenable voice but nothing outstanding, that's when I decided listenable was not good enough and started taking voice lessons.

Singing Instruction

Being young and I bit naive I thought that voice teachers were interested in teaching people how to sing.

What I found was that most voice teachers are simply trying to get you to as many lessons as they can so they can make a living.

So, I went to so many voice teachers trying to find something that actually worked, I lost count.

What I found was that most coaches had a good exercise here or there, but didn't have a total approach. I took what I learned, tested it on myself, and found what exercises are a waste of time and what ones work time and time again.

Singing Courses

I'd even gone so far as to take college courses on anatomy and physiology so that I fully understood what was going on when I sang.

I also took college level  courses for singing itself.  Though informative, I found that the information was aimed at classical or choir singing and of little use for commercial singing.

No matter what any coach tells you, learning opera or broad way tunes is not going to help you sing commercially.   I also purchased every book on singing I could find and gleaned important, useable information from each. I probably have almost every book on the subject ever published.

Singing Coach

I took all of the secrets to singing I learned and streamlined it into my own program. In essence I learned how to teach myself how to sing. And that is the center point of the Vocal Release singing manual, knowing enough about voice to teach yourself how to sing, or solve any vocal problems you have just like I did.

By the time I had accomplished all of this, and mastered my voice I was 22. I could now sing just about anything I want from rock to opera. (I wish I knew then what I know now, based on my experiences with my personal students I could have gotten my voice into shape in one year instead of five) Over the next five years and recently, I taught over a thousand singers how to be their own vocal coach using the Vocal Release singing manual.

My students spanned from absolute beginners to seasoned professional. This perfected my program even more as I came into contact with the problems of other singers.

The Vocal release singing manual is the culmination of 22 years of personal research into voice instruction. I have personally experienced through my own practice just about every obstacle to achieving a healthy star quality singing voice, and how to overcome them.

I, probably like you, was not born with a natural talent to sing, as some are and who consequently make the worst voice teachers, but someone who had to build a voice from nothing. And has proven that not only can singing be learned, but that a voice can be brought from nowhere to star quality.

When you order the Vocal Release manual you'll be saving yourself the hassle of finding a coach that can actually teach you how to sing.

If you're currently using another program and you're wondering what you're doing is effective then you should order the Vocal Release singing manual. With the Vocal Release singing manual you'll know by the way your voice performs and feels after the first session that you've made the right choice.
